Se propone intervenir en el edificio de forma pasiva, es decir, no modificando los sistemas de instalaciones, sino las soluciones arquitectónicas. Las nuevas soluciones ofrecen mejoras en el gasto energético, en el confort y en las prestaciones de las habitaciones.
 
Los huecos en fachada se tratan creando espacios intermedios, que sirvan de umbrales de paso al exterior, absorbiendo calor o protegiendo el hueco del sol según la orientación de la fachada a la que correspondan.
En el vestíbulo principal se propone un mecanismo que cierre o abra el hueco central de la estructura que cubre el vestíbulo en función de sus necesidades. De esta manera se evita la pérdida de calor en invierno y se favorece el flujo de aire de ventilación en verano. El nuevo elemento irradiará luz hacia el vestíbulo y hacia el patio de habitaciones.
 La vegetación volverá a inundar el jardín del hotel, cubriendo el lucernario del salón de actos. Una estructura metálica sombreará la zona sur y servirá de soporte a esta nueva vegetación, protegiendo el salón de la potente radiación solar que impedía su correcta climatización.
 
Todas las intervenciones puntuales toman parte de un mismo gesto arquitectónico, fomentando la unidad del conjunto y otorgando al hotel un nuevo carácter distintivo.

It is proposed to intervene in the building passively, ie no changing facilities systems, but the architectural solutions. The new solutions offer improvements in energy expenditure, in comfort and in-room amenities.
 
Gaps are treated facade creating gaps that serve as thresholds for abroad, absorbing heat or sun protecting hollow according to the orientation of the facade to which they relate.
In the main hall a mechanism to close or open the center hole of the structure that covers the lobby depending on your needs is proposed. Thus heat loss in winter and prevents the flow of ventilation air in summer is favored. The new element will radiate light into the lobby and into the courtyard room.
 The vegetation will flood the hotel garden, covering the skylight of the auditorium. A metal structure will shade the south and will support this new vegetation, protecting the Hall of powerful solar radiation preventing proper cooling.
 
All targeted interventions take part of the same architectural gesture, promoting unity of the whole and giving the hotel a new ethos.
